Private Individuals

Private Individuals hire investigation companies for a number of reasons. In our personal lives we may hire them because of matrimonial problems, possibly because we are concerned over the fidelity of a spouse or partner or concerned at suddenly erratic or unusual behaviour. We may have doubts over the behaviour of our children or the trustworthiness of a nanny or housekeeper. Some people engage the services of investigators if they are considering re-locating to an unfamiliar area or part of the country. Often we need help to locate friends or family we have lost touch with or who are missing for a variety of reasons and wish to trace. We can help where necessary and often provide peace of mind and re-assurance that any fears were unfounded.

Businesses

Businesses require the services of companies such as ours for very different reasons. The recent growth of ‘the litigious society’ means that we are bombarded in the media by companies that wish to sue for a fall or accident at work or in the course of their every-day lives: employees seek payouts for a variety of reasons, some justified and others more frivolous. The financial climate means that individuals often take secondary employment, sometimes whilst off sick from their full time jobs and occasionally in breach of the terms of their contracts of employment. Instances have been seen whereby people operate secondary businesses using equipment or material taken from their place of work or using those premises. Fraud is unfortunately on the increase in the work place. References are often unchecked by busy HR departments. The ease by which credit was previously obtained has meant that IVA’s and bankruptcies are all too common and assets are often hidden or disguised and debtors vanish, seemingly without trace. For those members of staff who are at work misuse of time, telephones and the internet is of growing concern to employers. In all of these matters we can work with employers, their human resources officers and company lawyers to prevent, combat and resolve such difficulties.
